Christmas Diary: Day 9

Partridge in hiding. Lovebirds oblivious to mayhem below.

Mum’s friend mentioned geese at local fayre and I’ve buyer for eggs. What a treasure. Wonder if anyone would appreciate organic milk?

Organising maids’ rota – nine pipers turn up! Musically not everyone’s taste.
There’s a local Scottish association who’ll know someone needing pipers – especially with Burn’s Night approaching. Could be easy money that would definitely help with animal feed and provide working capital for home-help business.

Maids all live locally. Pipers don’t, so need solution. Managed to buy second-hand bunks. Lads OK about roughing it in my spare rooms. Temporarily.
