Year of the Tiger
February 1st 2022 begins the Year of the Tiger. Being a tiger, here is my salute to the New Year.
Independent and courageous on the outside; wheels of fortune in the background, just in case.
Happy New Year.
Autistic, creative, curious, passionate.
Hmm, do you know that there are 4 different New Years in Nepal 🤣
Do tell. Love information like that. So far I’m a Vine ‘Druid’, Virgo ‘Western’, Tiger ‘Chinese’, and numerologically a 33 (6). M 🍇♍🐯 😕
Right! Here we go, Baisak 1 is the general New Year for Nepal, then Gyalpa Lhosar in April is New Year’s Day for the Sherpa people, next is October and this is for the Newar people new year. Then there is one for the Kirati people but I’ve forgotten when it occurs. My wife is a Newar, pronounced nay war! Each has a different year number too. Some are based on a solar calendar some on a lunar calendar. Over 50 years it’s driven me bloody crackers as I moved between time with Sherpa, Newar and Kirati!!!
