A couple of weeks ago I was amazed, and delighted, to see long-tailed tits on the birdfeeders. By the time I returned with my camera they had flown. Today, in the trees around our pond there they were again. Same story with the camera but I decided to record the new life emerging in the garden.
Around the pond

Buds in the beds

Delicious fragrances

Shapes and textures

Hiding in the shadows

These plants look after themselves, resting over Winter if they need to and emerging while the days are still relatively short to delight with colour, fragrance, and sheer pizzazz. Make their home a wildlife haven and they will repay you year after year. You know they’re worth it.

That’s a great collection of plants, all ours still dormant. Not seen long tailed tits for years in our garden!
Thank you. It is wonderful outside. Many more snowdrops, and the daffodils won’t be long now. M
